Currently on ebay, item 4636425937, are 15 x 8 Kelsey Hayes wheels. The seller mentions that these will not fit 11" brakes, however claims these fit up to 84 including CJ7. These wheels are the early Renegade 1 type wheels and will not fit disc brakes. These are very nice wheels for Jeeps with 9 or 10 inch drum brakes. Perhaps some early Scouts, I am not sure. Buyer beware. Not that these are bad wheels, just make sure of what they fit before you buy.

The spacers are fine. My issue is with advertising a fit, when there is not a fit. Unless the spacer is purchased also, in this instance.

He does say it won't fit over 11" drums. He also knows they won't fit over disk calipers, I told him that from personal experience.

I see what you're saying now though. As always with E-bay buyer beware...

Yeah, this is the same guy that I got my wheels from. I guess he fixed his description for fitting over the 11" Drums. Look at the auction link below, This is the auction that I bought from. The question and answers section is gone now, but he did say that they would fit then. But they don't fit 11" Drums without Spacers.

Also see this link for the problems that I had before I found the Spacers fix. You can read the frustration that I was going through at that time.

All in all, everything worked out for me as you see can in the PICS of my truck with the 15X8's on it. But it did cost more that I thought. But if you are determined, (like I was), to have the Authentic Kelsey-Hayes 15x8's on your truck, I can be done Successfully.

Sparky, what type of disc brakes did you try to fit the 15x8 KH wheels over? I'd like to find a set and I see the ebay seller still has some left. He says they will work on CJ applications from 1972-84 except 11" drums. Which would (should?) mean that they work with factory front discs as all CJ's had discs in front starting in 79 IIRC. I have Chevy disc brakes in front and (???) discs in back. I'm really curious if these would work though I don't have the money to gamble on them....

    Any ideas?

    Stock 1976 AMC disk brakes on a D30 front axle from a '76 CJ-5.

I asked the seller if they would clear disc brakes.

    His response:

"What is the application these are going on? I do not think these have enough clearance to go over disc brakes, but I am not for sure. These should work as long is your vehicle is stock and is listed for these to work, but again I am not 100% sure."

    Looks like I'm going junkyarding.

Uh, ok, so the fact that I told him, in fact I said "For future reference, these don't fit over disk brakes on CJs..." Must've been lost on him. R)

I guess so. I thought I should ask him even though I read what you wrote about your experience. Something tells me that he's trying to sell by being as vague (bordering misleading, but not quite) as possible. Prolly a good idea to stay away from him.

    That's the feeling I get.
