So would you guys runs this as is or what? I just noticed the small crack when getting ready to put everything back together. This was a used fork that came with my spare engine and I put it in after my Tellico incident a few years ago. The crack does not look new and appears to have the same amount of corrosion as the rest of the fork.

I'm thinking it should be okay because the force to push the TO bearing is acting to close the crack instead of open it. Any opinions?

Welded it up and its a go! For some reason I was thinking it was aluminum when I made this post.

How is the pivot clip broken? Its been running just as you see it for the past 2 years just fine. Maybe its the angle of the pic?

As for new replacements, I tried one a few years ago (Krage - Omix Ada) and the pivot clip did not fit the ball at all. The bend that holds it to the pivot ball did not line up with the indent at all thus it wouldn't stay seated..
