Gas Pedal Application Years

    The gas pedal on our 66 CJ6A looks to have been replaced by a later model pedal. Is the 66 V6 pedal supposed to hang from above, or should it mount on the floor like the early CJ's? After years of driving ancient Jeeps, this one just gives us cramps!

    Both my '66s hang and do not attach to the floor.

    My '71 was attached to the floor as was another '71 that I worked on.

    Once worked on a '69 that had the hanging style.

    For what it's worth - I like the hanging style much better. The one that attaches to the floor always seemed uncomfortable...

    Thanks for the replies - I guess maybe it's original then, and we'll just have to tweak it to make it more comfortable.
