Well, I just got word from the parts guy that they discontinued the rebuild kit for my small 4 gallon pancake compressor. So its pretty much useless right now. Just got a bigger one from my dad so not too worried about getting the pancake one working anymore.

Any thoughts on using the air tank from this on the jeep? Think it'd work good mounted under the body in the back? Kinda where the rear gas tank mounts over the axle.

Haven't done too much research yet, but I've got a power steering bracket for the dauntless. Would the ac compressors that you can convert for oba work with this bracket or is that some totally different mount?

We're using a pair of medical aluminum oxy tanks, because they're lightweight, easy to mount, and almost free. The pancake tank would likely fit under a Jeep, but might be more difficult to mount securely. If you already have it, go for it!

Yea, I was looking around yesterday at different sites. Got alot of good info yesterday. I'm thinking that I can take the rubber feet off and use the holes from them to mount it. Just need to come up with the bracketry.

I don't know about how well this would work but, I know that you can get air compressors kits for the use of an air horn, etc., so I would think that one might be adaptable for tank pressurizing.

Those little air horn compressers are a little shy on volume, and not usually made to run constantly. We scrounged an air-ride suspension compressor from the wheelwell of a Cadillac.

I've seen the ones(air ride compressors) at work they put on the expiditions and navigators. Thought that might work pretty good too, but I think they would be too new to find in a yard yet.

Yep I've heard of using the ones from 80s Caddys. Then again that little Master Flow Tsunami MF-1050 or MV-50 from Pep Boys/Kragen/Shucks that we talked about awhile back would work well to pressurize that tank...
