Hi everyone. I got in the jeep today to drive it down and get inspected. I started it and the starter just kept on spinning even when i turned the key off. I got out checked it out and could not find anything. I then tried it again and it started and idled great. I tried to back up and it stalled. Now it will not start. I checked all connections and fuel lines. The only thing that may be messed up is the solenoid. If the solenoid that goes from the battery to the starter and the ignition come into it is messed up could the resulting problem be a starting issue.

    thanks,

First thing that comes to mind is a bad ignition switch since it kept on spinning after you turned the key off. You don't say how you got it to stop spinning, only that it started then won't start again. Won't start again as in won't turn over or turns over but won't run?

This is not too uncommon. Typically the solenoid sticks and then burns out. I'll bet if you check your solenoid is bad. Hopefully it didn't burn out the starter too.

thanks guys, Actually the connection in the fuse box was loose. I checked everything and checked the fuse, however did not think to check the connection in the box. The connection was cracked. I replaced it, it starts great. Also the part when it kept spinning was seperate and was fixed by changing around the wiring to the ignition.
    thanks

Glad you got it fixed fairly easy.
