I stink at searching the web, so maybe some of you guys already have the answer? :)

I am getting a new driveshaft from Tom Wood, and I gave him all the info he needs to make me a new one except the spline count to the t-case. ( I guess he wants to give me a new yoke?)

In order to get this spline count, I need to take off the old yoke, slip it out a little and count the splines... right? How much torque is needed to put the yoke back? I need to drive this Jeep while this driveshaft is being made and shipped to me. I assume the torque setting will be the same for the original and the one I get from Tom, right?

    Thanks,
    Brian

The reason for the new yoke is he probably making you a a cv style driveshaft. You have to use a CV style yoke.

Install new output yoke oil seals and install yokes. Torque to 175 ft. lbs.

Check unit for freedom in all modes by hand turning.
