I have done a search for the location of the brake light switch but haven't found any concrete location.

My brake lights do not work. I did find what looks like a switch on one of the brake lines close to the m/c. There are two posts on top of this "switch" with no wires on them at all. I hooked up an ohm meter to the terminals and applied the brakes. No circuit was closed.

Now, either this is not the brake light switch, it is the brake light switch and it doesn't work, or it is the brake light switch but it is installed on a non pressurized line if there is such a thing.

What I have found does look like a switch. The terminals to not have any threads. They both look like nail heads.

Is the switch supposed to be located on the m/c?

Thanks for the help and the time.

That is your switch, contacts should close with brake pressure.

The switch was mounted in the single reservoir MC, if you have a dual reservoir MC there will be 2 of them. Both mounted on the lines, the front one should be near the front crossmember on the frame near a brake line junction block, the rear one should be in the frame rail behind the MC. The tops of them will indeed look like nail heads.
