v6 bellhousing to T-18

I was lining up the holes on my buick bell to the ford t-18 and found that I can make the top two holes work, drill and tap one for the bottom right(looking at the tranny from the input side) but on the bottom left the hole on the bell lines up with nothing but air. I could drill and tap in between ribs, but then I will have to always install and remove them both as a unit. Am I just looking at this all wrong? Is there a bell out there that will work for me? Anyone have one they don't need?

you need to drill out the unused ears on the transmission.
