Git out there and beat the bushes. Look up local Jeepers and clubs, look for local forums like this one. Check out all the 4wd and off-road shops. Check the salvage yards. Put the word out. Seek and ye shall find.

You'll probably have to rebuild any that you find anyway, don't count on finding a motor that old that's "ready to go". You might, but not likely. I have three Fheads in my garage that I picked up for free, just by keeping my eyes and ears open. I'm keeping them for extra parts for my original '56 motor, and I might be able to build another complete running motor later on. There's no way I'd try to start any of the four without tearing them apart for cleaning and inspection at the very least. My original is getting the works before it ever smells gas or feels electricity.

If the clubs are anything like the ones around here, good luck.

Internet, local classifieds, auctions, etc. would get my vote.

You might try A&P Truck Salvage in Oklahoma City, OK. Steve Akers is the fellows name and he has tons of old Jeep parts including engines. KCJ

Send a PM or email to Hickntick, he's in the St. Louis area I believe. He might know someone that has one. There's got to be a good engine in your corner of the state just waiting for a new home.

Depending on how big of a hurry you are in, you might contact Missouri71 here on ecj5. I know that he has a 225 that he's thinking about swapping into his Jeep in place of the F4 he is currently running. I have no idea on his timeline for replacement though.
