I'm considering a spray in bedliner for my '49 Chevy pickup but then I remembered Herculiner. I know a bunch of you guys have put this stuff all over everything. How easy is it to apply? What's the finish quality? What's the stuff feel like when it's cured...is it really hard and slippery or is it kinda soft? If anyone has any pics that'd be great too. Thanks in advance.

My son removed all but the seats and used Herculiner on the INSIDE of his Cherokee. It dried hard and it is not smooth in fact is very rough. It went on easily enuf with the supplied roller and dried totally in a day or two. Sorry no pics, but I will tell you the inside of his rig is now real noisy and cold as all getout in the winter. Ahhh... to be that tough and not afraid of the cold and to be 20 again.

Herc can be sprayed as well with very good results. My buddy BroncoJohnny sprayed the inside of his '69 EB with it, turned out great! He used a cheapie gun from HF.
I don't think he has any pics... but I'll send him an email and ask.

If you get Durabak, it's the same product as Herc but without the rough nubs... gives a much smoother texture.

I used Durabak. Applied it by brush and it came out pretty nice. Check out my photosite, chapter getting there.

Sprayed or rolled , Herc is rough and hard....not soft and grippy like Rhino

I have Herculiner and am going to cover it with a Hammerite rust coating. Some freinds of mine have it and it works great. Herculiner is impossible to clean and too hard on the dog's paws.

I gave two gallons of that stuff away. It is just too hard and has chunks in it that make it hard too clean.

Lemme know how that goes...SSDutch has Herc. on the inside as well and I don't like it. Was thinking of trying to top it with durabak smooth.

Not a big fan of Herculiner overall...I have it on the inside of my Bantam.
