I want a set of Poison SPyder Krusher Korners foir my 73.

They only sell them for 76 and later CJ's.

How hard would it be to make them fit my 73?

The shape is the same, but the holes will be in the wrong places. The lights and filler locations are different IIRC. Those look cut away for a tire carrier on a '76 and later too.

So other than the holes for lights, tire carrier and filler the dims are the same.

The radius of the wheelwell, distance to wheel well from corner etc are all exactly the same?

If so I can work around the hoile issues.

also, the pre 76 tubs are shorter in height at the rear than the 76 on. I believe there is a custom division where you can get "no holes" and or shorter cut. The wheel arch is the same and the corner radius is the same..thats about it.

I don't think that's true for the CJ-5. Maybe for the CJ-7, which has a different tailgate from the CJ-5.

If it's important, somebody on the board can measure for you. I believe that the CJ-5 sheet metal only changes substantially after 1975 in the front floors and the dash. The CJ-7 is an all-new tub in 1976, but it retains many of the characteristics and dimensions of the CJ-5 tub.

yep, true, just checked a 1983 brochure and the 5 had the shorter tub sides like pre 76. Thanks for the correction.
So be sure to tell them its for a CJ-5 or a 73 CJ

I called PSC adn they told me they don;t make them for a 73.

But if what ya'll are telling me is correct I can order a set for a 76 CJ-5 without the holes for filler and tire swing.

    Thanks for the help.

Ran into the same problem - and couldn't get enough info to pay the $. I ended up buying the smooth steel panels from offyourrockers.com. Got them a couple weeks ago, and still in finishing the install. Quality is great, though not quite as thick as PSC, and probably more like their "Trail Corners" than their "Krusher Corners." (smaller coverage area)

Got them without cutouts for lights and gas since I'm doing quite a bit of modifying. As i said, quality is great, fits fine, and will be a whole lot more protection than the decorative diamond plate that it replaces.

I think so, but it's hard to be 100% certain without having the product in your hands. Check on the return policy - if the seller agrees, it would only cost the return shipping if you're not happy.
