225/231 engine information.

my new engine!! need help with internal information.

recently purchased a 231 with 225 top end. I believe it is an odd fire, but I need to verify. bored .060 over, hot cam, 283 valves in 225 heads(1.75 intake and 1.5 exhaust) holly street dominator intake manifold with 4 barrel edelbrock carb 500 cfm. Anyone heard of this 283 valve business before? Will I need to run headers? Also looking for information on the hot cam, and all the connections on the intake manifold as everything was taken off.

Valves: 1.71 stock, 1.775 oversized on intake; 1.50 std exhaust for valves; 4.730 long; .3415 dia.

SBC stuff is way different although exhaust valves are similar (but slightly longer = 4.911)

Hot cam could be anything that someone felt was hot at the time. no way to tell unfortunately unless you get it profiled to see.
