Anybody got a camera?

Discussion in 'Early CJ5 and CJ6 Tech' started by vanguard, Mar 8, 2006.

  1. I need some footwell pictures. I need to know if the steering column passes directly between the floor pedals or if its above or below the centerline between the two holes. If it's off the centerline it would be helpful to know by how much.

    Thanks!

  3. Thanks Thad, it does help. I was viewing pics of Lulu (53flattie), in those pics it looks like the steering column hole is just above centerline. Your pics make it look like its on center. Hmm.

Joel, Keep in mind that the top pic is just the steering shaft, not the tube. Also, I don't have my dash on at that point, so the shaft is just kinda sitting against the floor there. It came up some, but not much once I got it back together....

These help? Mines a 1960 with a '65 donor body so I'm told.

Nice to see I'm not the only one that uses wirenuts on automotive connections.... :)

Also, I've noticed a trend in these pictures.....a mess of wiring.....just like mine!!

  7. Thanks Kevin. That confirms what I discussed with Patrick last night. I should be in good shape now.
