I've got a T90 tower on my T86, but IIRC the shift forks need to be swapped out. Not quite as simple as "swapparoo". ;)

You mean the 86 forks gotta stay with the 86..can't use the 90 forks in the 86 , correct ?? buddy found a complete setup for t-86 to SBC , but the 86 doesn't have the shifter and forks....

The shifter should fit. They were essentially the same transmission.

Now if you were talking about a t-14 and t-90 the answer would be different.

I am positive at least the large shift fork has to be swapped with one from a T86. Can't remember if the small one was the same or not. I went ahead and swapped both when I converted my T86 to T90 guts.

Mop is right, one shift fork has to be replaced as the transmissions have different size syncro assemblies.
