intake opinion and question

Hi,
I have an Offy 360 intake and a stock cast manifold. I drive on street and some minor snow plowing/ minor offroad. Which man. would be better to use? I cant' see using a 4 barrel w/ gas prices and I don't plan on racing. Low end power/smoothness and torque is what I'm after.
Also my stock man. heat riser ports are pluged. Any sugg. on opening? I've tried drilling w/ a dull drill bit and letting mild acid sit in there. Still plugged.
