What buick car do I ask for when I need parts for the 225 engine? We searched a bunch of buick cars specifically the special, and found a 225 3.7L. We searched for a 71 cj-5 and found a 225 3.7L. Is this it?

it might be difficult securing a vintage 225. the 231 OF is like .050 larger in the bore and very little else was changed. they are more common than the 225 and the same bolt pattern.
    just an option.

yes, for parts. 3.7L it is then! Autozone should have most of the parts then.

One of my 225s came out of a 65 Buick special. Had to tel that once to get a rebuild kit for carb. Was used until 67 from 63 IIRC. HTH
