Those look sweet. Are you telling me BTW that that is 3 pieces of steel? The welds look so good they look like 1 piece.

mb82, oneeye, eddyt - sorry I can't help out guys  - I only have enough leftovers to make one more set and I really don't want to turn a hobby into a business. Speedbuggy helped me out before with a soft top bow problem and since he asked first, I'm returning the favor. I've got a drawing (top and front view) of the bracket that I'll scan and post if that will help. :(

Ok quick question. How did you drill the hole? I am going to attack this project soon.

Quick answer - hole saw first time, drill bit second time.
The first set, I drilled a 1/4" pilot hole and then used a 3/4" hole saw with pilot in a drill press (slowest speed with cutting oil).
The second set I used a 3/4" drill bit after 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" (& would have used a 5/8" if I had it). It gets a little hairy unless you have a vise and everything is clamped down good. Lots of cutting oil and slow speed is the key. The drill bit cut a cleaner and tighter hole :) .The 3/4" D-ring pin fit real good in the second set. I drilled 1/2" bumper mounting holes and used 1/4 x 1 1/2 strap for backing plates. Please use safety glasses or full face shield when using large drill bits - little pieces of steel hurt.
    Have fun and good luck.
    Next time, I'll take pics!

Speaking of towbar - almost finished with mine. Used info (read: copy) Ghetto Fab (Kevo) posted a little while back for basic design (used 3/16" wall 1 1/2 sq tubing, 3/8" x 1 1/2" strap, 3/16 plate for gussets and bulldog hitch) - weighs a ton but solid. http://www.earlycj5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16618&highlight=towbar
