Well i got my traielr back and my friend who borrowed it disconnected the leads going to the brakes on the trailer, since his connector at his vehicle was all messed up. So i get the traielr back and do not know how or where to connect the wires :( So i will get pics later on, but there is 2 wires going to 2 differnt studs, and what looks to be a ground to the brake backing plate. So off hand does anyone know if there is a way i can wire it up wrong and burn something up or does it matter since it is just magnetizing the brake to operate.

    Hmmm try this site;http://www.marksrv.com/wiring.htm
Sure was nice of him to have you rewire your own trailer- is he supplying the beer while this is being done?

I'm thinking he would be paying to have it fixed. It really annoys me when people borrow stuff and return it broke.

Off hand I would say that it really would not matter which would be power and ground. Are there any markings on brakes that indicate polarity? Different color wires?

yeah it wasnt the only thing damaged with the wiring, it took a real beating. I can tell the plug was not plugged in and it was dragged for quite a bit :( But it wont take long to really redo the connections.

I do a lot of trailer work and the mags. dont care about polarity so ground either wire BUT! for best results use #10 wire and run the ground all the way to the vihicle connection not just to the frame.
