VIN help

    A friend bought a CJ5 and was told it was a '74. From the picture he sent me from his phone it looks like a '76 or later due to the tailight location and the ignition key in the column. I owned a '75 so I know the differences from the two years. I have the Vin so who's the guru for the intermediate VINs.
    See what you can tell me from this;
    The vin # is JF4835TH90874

    74 CJ5 304 V/8
    but your 3rd digit is wrong
    no 4 should be a letter , probably an F,Toledo 3 speed
