The CJ5 is ready for paint:) .....I plan on using Martin Senour Acrylic Enamel single stage.

For those not familiar with my project I've stripped the entire jeep, sanblasted it, welded in replacement panels where rust was eating it, put on 3 coats of Crossfire 2K primer and sanded to 400 grit.

That being said, I need to estimate how much paint to purchase to coat the entire jeep, undersides and all with at minimum two coats. I don't mind having a little left over. I can use it to paint my Norton.

    Thanks in advance! Dave

I used less than a gallon, but I bedlined the inside of the tub and the underside as well. So basically, I shot the outside of the tub, the fenders, grill, hood and tailgate with less than a gallon.

What type of paint gun your using will make a big difference on how much paint you use. HVLP guns put more paint on the car instead of in the air as opposed to gravity or syphen feed guns. Just thought I would mention it.

I don't ever recall using a comeplete gallon when I've painted a Jeep. Usually have less than a quart left, sometimes only a half an inch or so left in a gallon can.

would buy the gallon. sometimes the 2nd batch of paint doesn't quite match the 1st.
