Speedometer noise

    Hi All,

    My '68 speedo is making a real squealing noise when hooked up. Disconnected, the new speedo cable is working fine. Is there anyway to lube the inner workings of the speedo to fix the problem?

    It is easy to dissassemble the unit once it's out. Tabs on the rear hold it all together if I remember correctly. Use lubricant sparingly due to trail dust.

    Barry: Try lubing the cable first. Usually that's the problem. Most FLAPS carry spedo cable lube (graphite lube).
