    there are 2 different length wheelhouse openings ?

    I was looking up a body side panel while researching grannycjs body side marker light question.
    The book states that there are 2 different lengths, 8" or 11"
    I thought maybe the difference might be for front mounted or rear mounted gas tank.....nope.....both lengths still listed regardless of tank

    what gives and who knows why, I don't:?

    Jim how is this measurement referenced, as in what does the 8"/11" actually reference to on the wheelwell?

    :? :?
    doesn't say opening, I retract that comment.....that's why I am puzzled, not like you can believe the book all the time

    all it says: " Used with 8" wheelhouse"
    or
    "Used with 11" wheelhouse"

    beats the heck out of me
    just wondering if any of you CJ5 guys knew about this

    {okay, everyone run out with a tape and measure those wheelwells}

    Could it be the depth of the wheelhouse for use with dual wheels?

    That's what I was thinking, BUT, would they really build two different tubs? OK Jim, you brought this up, it's up to you to find the answers...:)

    The horizontal panel from the rear quarter toward the center of the Jeep that forms the upper part of the rear wheel well is 10.5" on mine. Just thought I'd add to the discussion....
