... with my MM DVI. Not too bad for having not done this in 20 years!! I'm practicing with gasless fluxcore, so it should look better when I hook up the gas bottle. After I get back from FL, my first project will be a engine stand mounted drip pan and a ladder rack for the shop. Then I'll get started on the trailer. Feedback is welcome...

Looks really good for flux. I would take a wire wheel to the edges and get all the flux out. Make sure your not undercutting the edge;) .

Thanks! I just hit the welds with a wire brush since it was convenient, will use the wheel on the "real" welding... What do you mean by "undercutting", and how can you see it?

Were the edge of the weld meets the parent metal you will have a dip on the parent metal. This is called under cuting because you have taken thickness away from the parent metal. This is usually from moving to quickly and pulling the parent metal into the weld. By the pictures I don't see any but there was still some flux in the very corner of the weld so I couldn't say for sure. Just basically something to watch for and try not to do as it weakens the joint.
