Wiper motor mounting bracket

    Here's a bracket I made to install one of the cheap electric wiper motors above the windshield using the stock mounting holes. The material is 1/8 x 1 1/4 strap, but you could also use 1 or 1 1/2 strap. I also reused the old vacuum motor hose to run the wires in. The two flat washers shown go between the bracket and motor to act as spacers. :)

    very very good job. i like that alot. I just used a piece of steel tube to sleeve it and a long bolt, but that is sooo much cleaner looking.

    Hmmm, interesting. I used a cut-off wheel on my Dremel to cut the shaft and the threaded outer down to length then mounted that to the stock holes. The extra mounting screw tab didn't line up with anything, but I was able to cinch it down plenty, so no biggie.

    Your way looks more secure though....

    I figured it was worth a try. Why try to design something when some one has already made it.
