For me, in UK, the Mahindra based on CJ-3B would be a good source of mechanical parts as I can buy a running vehicle very cheap (£250 / $440)
The engine is a Peugeot unit and a later 2.5 turbo versions is a straight swop.
I'm not sure about gearbox other than it's made by Kia but is a four speed.
Transfer box is a copy of Dana 18.
What are peoples opinions of axles etc that might be interchangable with my CJ-5 ?

    Thanks.

According to this http://www.film.queensu.ca/CJ3B/World/MahindraJp.html they seem to be about the same physical dimension as the CJ3B here that we all know and love. I think I would find one take some measurements and see. You could the be a lot futher along to answer that question. If the are the correct dimensions, would seem like the route to take....at least from where I'm sitting. YMMV ;)
