F134 Distributor O Ring Seal?

    On an F134 engine does anyone know if there was some sort of O ring or gasket on the distributor to seal between it and the block. My distributor has a small groove at the base that could hold a 1/16" O ring but I don't see any reference to one in the service manual. Maybe there isn't anything and they just leaked a bit. Any thoughts.

    Hey Ed,

    I put one on mine. Just make sure to lube it up before forcing it down into the engine block. A gentle twisting action helped a little bit as well. HTH.
