Ok,guy's take it easy on me,question currently on my 2A with a f-head Iam runing propane, works great but with it's octane rating of around 100 would I gain any engine performance by shaving the head alittlte and possible swapping out the cam for a l-head that has more lift.

the L head cam will break the intake rockers/bend pushrods eventually
    because of the higher lift
shaving the head may make it more immediate!
    my personal experience by accident

Do you have any more pics or a list of the parts that used to swap to 'pane. How much power did you lose when you swaped to it. For some reason I remember reading that you lose like 25%.

I was runing the holley 1904 and a homemade header and had plenty of power I thought. When I switched I did notice alittle on the top end in high gear going down the road climbing hills, but at this same time I added 34-10.5 swampers so I think that was what effected it the most.I'm sorry that I don't have a way to show pic's,but what I did was take a complete system from a 4 cylinder forklift and adapt it to my f-head I did have to make my own intake the vaporizer is side draft mounted, the tank of course is a tomotor tank mounted in the back. But she sure does work and purrr real nice. She will just put along and climb.I also run a pektronics ignition.

how has your f-head held up with the propane? I've heard the valves and seats go bad with propane. I'm considering this swap on my '56 for a driver on the street but mostly want it for advantages on inclines offroad. I'm in MN and it can get pretty cold here. Will it work in the cold?
