timing should be set at 5* before top dead center
engine warm at idle, 650 RPM
timing light connected to plug wire #1
    vac advance disconnected

Tank you for your answer, but I have no stroboscopic lamp.
I want to adjut it in static with a 12 volts lampe plug on the contact of the delco, and for that I need to know where to stop the belt wheel.

sounds like the way ya set the timing on old honda motorcycle engines. if so you would want the light to go out as the mark on the wheel passes 5 deg bTDC

    yea
but we know what you meant !
Honda Odyssey engines (FL250) are timed the same way
with a flashlight; when the light goes out, you're set !
