Front Brakes Backwards

We have had lots of discussions here about brake adjusters being wrong so I want to make sure I've got it right.
The adjusting slot on 10 inch brakes goes to rear on both the passenger side and the drivers side? Everything else is determined by the slot as the self adjusters go together.
You can look for me without any dissasembly, is the slot in front of or to the rear of the spindle centerline?
Am I getting this right??

 

slot is to the rear. best bet is to pull the drums and check for sure.
