What book/manual do you recommend for a engine rebuild. I have the jeep cj rebuilders manual 46-71 by Moses Ludel. It seems like a good book. But I was just wondering if there was a better one before I start.

Clay I wish I had the book that's in your hands. I'm finishing up such a rebuild, and only have the FSM (which is very good) and a couple 'o Chilton's.

I have the "Jeep CJ Rebuilder's Manual" and it's pretty detailed, and lots of photos. Also covers just about everything you could possibly take apart on a CJ. It gets my vote!

Tim (timgr) always recommends Engine Builder’s Handbook by Tom Monroe (ISBN 1-55788-245-2) when members ask that very question so I bought it……..glad I did.

    I paid $13 from Amazon
