76+ seat brackets...

    If sombody can, would you post a pic of some original seat brackets from 76 and up?

    Anybody know a source for sliders to go on the drivers seat shown for the 76? Mine doesnt have them, seems sombody also used a piece of wood as an adapter to some "Bestop seats"

    Hey Jim, both of mine, Driver's and Passenger's side tip forward for access to stuff in the back. Did I not look at that pic right or does it not show that on the driver's side?

    I don't think that feature for the drivers side started until about 1981 or so on the CJ7s.......
    but you could adapt that bracket style to the earlier seats, back to 1976 anyway

    Huh, so my seat brackets are newer than I thought. I thought everything in the Jeep came out of a '76, guess I have a third unkonwn Jeep in there, or fourth given that my transmission 1rst gear isn't synched and the rear axle is 2 piece.

    looks like it started in 1982 with the highbacks
    does yours look like the top right of the pic?

    Yup! Has highbacks that have "CJ" embossed in them and the brackets look just like that. Flat handle to tip forward.
