Hard Top

    I just picked up a '79 CJ-5 and was looking for a hard top. My question is this: Is there any manufacturer of a new hard top or am I left hunting the used market?:?

    You're left hunting for a used one. :( They're not easy to come by either. There is one adverted on e-bay right now in MI that's linked from the e-bay section here.

    AJs is out of business.

    I know of a guy here in Clermont that has an M38 with a hard top. I cant find his number but I know where he lives. IIRC he is not adamant about using it and might be willing to sell it. No idea about price. I have seen it and it does have some dents and it aint pretty, but nothing that couldn't be fixed. PM me if you might be interested.

    If you put that top on a '79 you'll have to change to the earlier windshield.

    keep your eyes on ebay, there have been at least 5 acme fiberglass tops for the later cjs in the past few months.
