Hello. I did a search on this, but didn't find what I was looking for, so here goes... In preparation for eventually replacing my body mounts (the pucks), is there a problem with using kits from a '76+, or should I make sure it is specifically for my '74?

I will be trying to find a replacement that will also get me about 1" lift without adding spacers etc. I am thinking about the Daystar poly kit for the '76-'79 CJ because it is complete with bolts and washers (found here: http://www.suspensionconnection.com/cgi-bin/suscon/KJ04503J1.html ). I'm not doing this until early next year; just trying to plan my budget. Will this kit work?

    Thanks

I would not attempt to gain any lift with body mounts. MHO. 4WD Hardware sells springs that advertise 1 - 2 inches of lift. Go that route.

Actually, that was the result of my search in the forum. I know it's a debatable way to lift the vehicle, but I was thinking a small body lift of 1", coupled eventually with a larger suspension lift (say about 2-3"). I can get immediate results to clear the 33's that *should* look okay with few problems. I'm setting up my budget and figured this was inexpensive, but practical. Thanks for the comment.
