Dash Button

I just got one of those tachs NOS off of Ebay for $48.00 complete! That's less than you-know-who is asking for his used one with the clipped wires and no mount! I can't wait to put it in! I'll post some pics soon!

 

I'll try to get some pics tomorrow. The CJ is pretty much in pieces so I'll dig the tach out then post them up.

 

This was a question I asked looooong time ago here. I found then that somebody had a reference that it was a optional wipre/wash manual button, sorta like a mowers' gas primer. kind of a rubber button that would squirt wiper fluid on the drivers' side of the windshield. I don't remember who had the page ill. on it but there was a pic. I dont have it. I looked. mbe this will jog somebody's memory. this thread sure did jog mine, needed it too

 

I wonder..could it be used for a hand operated accelerator cable, like the MB's have (regardless of original intent).
