How much snow can these soft tops hold?

Okay this will definately not be the last cold related question I will ask. But since I'll be parking the jeep outside (I plan on building a carport as soon as I get up there) how much snow can these soft tops endure? And should I be doing anything to my Supertop before I get to the snow? Can it even handle the snow?
Sorry if these questions seem ridiculous the jeep and I have been enjoying year long warm weather for a while now.

Mine sat outside from Jan 15, when I moved to Mi with out any problem. I think it ended up with about 6 inches on top. Mike

My experience is they hold snow pretty well - but I knock it off as soon as it accumulates. If you're gonna park it for a bit, how about placing a tarp over the top so that when snow accumulates you can dump it easily?

Of course it depends on the type of snow... dry powder, or heavy spring snow... :D

I've had Jeeps with a foot of snow on the top with no problem, just brush it off as soon as practical. Be advised that the plastic windows WILL crack in extreme cold... so be careful, don't scrape ice off of them, don't hit them or try to roll them when cold.

Yeah, newly fallen snow is light and fluffy. Brush it off after every storm and you should be fine.

Marc, you didn't ask about ice storms...

Boy, this winter will be fun for you!

Seriously, you will get some ice storms in da'burgh... again the top will be OK, get it off as soon as possible by getting in and warming up the inside. Once it starts warming up the ice will slide off.
The heater will be important, especially if you won't have a covered place to park. Sounds like you need to get that Mohave installed ;)

I'm used to the winters. I spent my formidable years in Toronto. I just never owned a car up there - ample public transportation. I probably spent more time on my 2 stroke sled then behind the wheel of any car growing up. And definately more time on a bike than walking. I remember busting my *** into the side of a streetcar, not a bus but an f-ing streetcar, on my bike in February on the way to school.
I just wasn't sure what I needed to do to prepare the jeep for winter. My biggest concerns being the cold starts and the snow on the Supertop. Me? I'm ready for the snow. I'm actually looking online right now for an annual lift pass at Seven Springs: http://www.7springs.com/webspecials.shtml
    The jeep better like winter.
Thanks for the advice and moreso for your concerns. If you guys have any other advice for winterizing the jeep I'll be all ears. I'm sure I'll post as questions arise.

Most snow I've had on a softtop is ~36", it sagged some but you've just got to knock it off and keep going. My feeling is a carport will have little affect on snow covering your vehicle, think wind/drifting, I've parked every car/jeep i've ever had outside in Buffalo, NY and besides being cold to get into in the morning when you get in, its no big deal. And if you want to stay warm in your jeep just run around the outside 5-10 times till you warm up and do this at every stoplight and you'll be fine.:hurrican:

My Jeep lives in the garage, so the most it gets is a foot or so at work, with no problems. My brothers Jeep sits outside, and has had as much as three feet of fairly dry snow, with no problems.

So what I've determined is that a couple feet of snow on the Supertop is no problem just don't roll down my windows. Got it.
    Thanks for the info.
