starter problems

    the starter works fine until motor is hot.
    then if i shut it off, it turn the key
    and receive only a 'vague' click!
    is this the solenoid? or starter?

    Most any parts house should have one. I bought one a while back at autozone and it was like 6 or 7 bucks. Good luck:)
