swap question

    i just bought a75 cj5 with 258 3 sp dana 20.does anyone know if i can swap the 258 auto dana 300 out of my 84 cj7 into the 5 or will it be to long? i also have a 4.3 chevy 4sp np205 but i think the truck tranny may be to long. any help would be great.

    Yes but youll have some driveshaft changes to make. The rear will be short. The 258 should be able to ge accomplished with factory parts. The 4.3 will take more work with aftermarket parts but will leave you with more of the rear drive shaft. Depends on what you do with it what will work for you.
