Will I hurt any electronics on my 69 CJ if I MIG weld on it with everything hooked up?

I'd disconnect the ground from the battery 1st.

    Weld away!

It couldn't hurt to disconnect the battery.

    Ditto.

My MSD box could get fried if everything was hooked up.

I don't have an MSD box, but I've never hurt anything by welding with everything still connected. Seems to me the current would just go from the arc to wherever you put the ground... right?

I'm guilty of welding (exhaust) on computer controlled vehicles, because I forget..... Haven't damaged anything yet.
Disconnect the battery; it's not worth the risk..

Thanks, I've never had a MIG before and wasn't sure. My header has a crack and I hate the idea of taking it apart to fix it. I'll for sure disconnect the battery.
