Hi all, I just got my Jeep back from the paint shop yesterday (soon to post pics) and I much to my dismay, each one of my marker lights is now broken. He had a difficult time getting them off I imagine- Anyway, my question is this: Who is a good source for lens and bezels? Also, I think I'll go ahead and look for a new winshield frame- Gimme a good source for that too. Thanks a million! :stout:

I am ignorant to what years will fit on what years. I suppose that you're saying that an intermediate frame will fit a '70? I do have the bottom mount wiper motor- As you'd expect. Thanks Boyink :p

Thanks Sparky- This should help on the windshield.

Who was it that said that the early, 1970 Kaiser Jeep has amber markers on the hood? Mine was built in Feb, 1970 (early by my estimation) and has amber markers on the fenders. Forgive me for not understanding-

My 70 model, built in September, 1969, has the reflectors mounted on the hood & absolutly no side markers (built by Kaiser). Photos are on the site...the Jeep is for sale.

My '70 has the side markers on the fenders, BUT it appears that it had the hood markers to at one time. When I stripped the paint off the hood, the old holes where there, but had been filled in.

Disclaimer: My tub had replaced at one time in the past, and while I'm almost positive the front clip is original, I guess there is no way to be sure.

My Jeep came from the original owner and had never been painted prior to a week ago- Odd stuff!

Also, on the rear right-side, the marker light is circular... Like a bicycle reflecter-

An odd one for sure- There is a one inch circular hole the accomodates the round marker light just behind the right (road-side) read wheel well. I will guess this is a modification by PO.

I've still not found a good source for these lights.

OK...time for clarification. The "hood" mounted "reflector" (green Jeep) is a 1970 Kaiser model. The "fender" mounted "side marker" (blue Jeep) is a 1974. The round red reflector/lamp on the side mounted spare is a 1974(intermediate) model. I do not believe that there were rear s/markers prior to the intermediates (late 1970 through 1975). If someone who is more into the minutia of the Jeepdom than I am corrects me, I am cool with that as I am "always" an eager student. Also please note the reflector on the spare "is" red. The flash made it appear an amber color.

Interesting points and a very clean jeep you have- I would not swear that my Jeep has never been worked on or had parts replaced but I would come darn close to it as it was purchased from the original owner and I have some knowledge of him and the Jeep many years prior to the time of purchase. It is apparent that there was a spare tire mount as pictured and I suppose that is where the circular marker light came from. Now for the front fenders: Mine are like those pictured on the '74 model though my build date is Feb 1970. Early in the year by all accounts. :)

My (sept i think) 70 has a rectangle reflector on the back on the drivers side and a round on on the pass side because the spare would cover the rectangle one. I filled them in. Now I have none in the back and if I get time I will fill the front too (on the fenders). (I like the old look better but new fenders high dollor)

Intermediates are Jeeps from 1972-1975, the 70 and 71 models are not intermediates they are still early cj's.

I like the marker lights on the front fenders.

My canadian 69 has a round reflector in the tire on rr and a rect on lr front reflectors are on the hood. My jeep was sitting in a field with a stripped timing chain and seemed to be 100% stock . Hope this helps my serial number is 359627.
