transmission lube and access

    Absolutely correct. I should have said bronze instead of brass. Momentary brain fart on my part. I've noticed it makes a big difference when using some of the aftermarket replacement synchro rings also. Tons of differences in quality and longevity. Lots of issues with fit on the cone surface and how well they will grab the cone also. Some are so hard that they are worse than worn out ones and some are so soft that they don't last long at all. It's been a real issue on older transmissions that you no longer can purchase OEM parts for. Nickmil.

    Tranny in my Jeep is a T14 AFAIK. Oakes?

    McRuff, I could be wayyyy off base. It just seems similar to issues I've heard with the synchros and bronze (not brass) in a TJ trans.

    Oh I don't doubt it might help. My honest opinion with synthetic is its not a cure all, some engines and drivetrain parts it seems to help or work great in, others it seems to hender, I tend to think of it as a trial and error thing.

    In My opinion, synthetics are a waste of money; especially in older gearboxes that don't call for synthetics..... Like I said, this is my opinion.......
