    I tried doing a search, but couldn't find the info I wanted. Will a late model (83" wheelbase) tub fit on a earlier frame and behind the fenders of a 81" jeep?

    The '72-75 bodies are mostly identical (except for markings and some brackets) to the earlier 81" WB bodies. 1976 and later have different floors, dashes and windshields, different seat mounting, and probably other differences. The mounting points are different too, since the frame widens at the rear after 1976. You could probably make a 76-on body work if you did some modification of the mounting points.
