On my 74 with a Carter YF, there is a threaded fitting that goes into the choke coil where the choke stove tube connects. In my carb there is nothing attached to that hole it is just open. Does anyone know where the tube that connects to the choke ends? Is it on the manifold? I think mine is missing and this may be due to a new intake manifold but I am not sure.

The cast-iron intake/exhaust manifolds have a hole for the choke stove. There should be a tube that fits into a hole on the exhaust manifold and goes up into that hole on the choke cover (this is all from memory). You can get a "Help" kit at the parts store to replace the choke stove if the new manifolds don't have it.
