My transfer case lever is vey short and almost emerges from the firewall or at least right at the juncsion with the loor board. When say short I mean 12 inches with a big bend. No body lift.
The O/D lever however is taller than the hurst shifter lever.
Is this normal. From the pictures I've seen it looks wrong.
I wish I could post pictures. I only have 3 digital cameras and two software packages and Sharpies recommended "resize" I am pretty good with most aspects of computers for 60 years old but this one has me beat.
I notice a number of you use some kind of photo albums, how do they work and are they costly?

    Greg,

My Jeep has the single lever transfer case as well as the warn overdrive and that's exactly what my levers look like. The T-Case handle almost looks like it's touching the floor in 2wd and then stands up in 4-lo. The overdrive is nice and tall so you can reach it easy when shifting.

Other than going to a two lever set of is there a way to move it closer. With belts on I can barey if at all reach it.
Im excited about being able to get pictures on board.
It will be nice for family pictures too.

Going to a twin stick set up is about the only way you're gonna get the levers up where its reachable. Gregg I went to the twin stick pretty much for the same reason. I got my setup from nickmil on this board nice setup and was worth it, especially if your abdominally challenged!:D;)

i have a single stick shifter laying around that was at some point lengthened by about 4".

iirc it was still quite a reach to get to it, but it i am sure it was better then the stock stubby shifter. if anybody wants it let me know.

the twin stick setup is a very nice alternative though, however you have to take apart the tcase to set it up.

We'll actually I have raced cross country desert for thirty years. aT 6o I race the super senior old codger class (60 and over). We race half the distance (usually 50 miles). Just right to stay in shape. 6.1 and 190 pounds.
I just like my belts up tight.
So if the rest of you want to use that as an excuse it is great to me. I got lots of problems, that just insn't one of them.
    Keep the ideas flowing.

I have the twin sticks and personally wanted a shorter OD lever. Cut it off, drilled and tapped a hole, put in a stud, put the shifter ball back on.
