Hey guys, I need some help. I have a 75 258 that I was thinking of swapping out for a 304. Now I think I could probably part it out and re coup the cost, but I'm not sure, that's where you guys come in.

    Here's what it is:

258, has been rebuilt, but I can't prove it. Runs pretty good, no smoke. Head has had a valve job and is ported.

Motorcraft 2100, newly rebuilt and installed this summer.

HEI conversion including an Accel coil and wires.

    Clifford four barrel intake.

Hedman header, 6 into 2. used.

    Clifford alluminum valve cover

    New fuel pump.

So what do you guys think this is worth???

Trying to justify the swap for more power and I have a line on a pretty fresh 304 with goodies.

    Thanks

I'd keep the 258 for no more HP than the 304 makes and the fact that you've already done all this work to the 258 it's not a normal 258. JMO.

I have always wanted a V8 in my Jeep. That is the real reason for contemplating the swap. Of course I don't need it, but I want it. I'm sure the 304 set up I am looking at will produce a bit more power than my 258.

Somebody want to price this for me?????
