Where Is The Paper?

I know this is probably the wrong forum but I will post it here anyway. Being an engineering type, the project isn't complete until the documentation is done. To build my '74 CJ5 American Motors Corporation (AMC) must have had tons of engineering documentation. What became of it? Are the drawing for the CJ5 filed away in some moldy corner of Chrysler's engineering department or were they trashed and lost forever? Or did some "thinking ahead" person save them for some future jeep enthusiast. An enquiring mind would like to know.
