that sounds about right. on mine, lever closest to you all the way back and the other in the middle is two high. both in the middle is neutral. both back is four high and both forward is four low. i found that with the inter lock pellets still in i am able to get two low as well. that is the stick closest to you all the way forward and the other one in the middle.

Actually on the Dana 20, with the twin stick each stick has 3 positions. all the way forward, middle, and all the way back. Each stick controls a axle. So the stick next to the tranny controls the rear axle (hi, neutral and low). The other stick controls the front axle (hi, neutral and low).

Sounds nice! I've got a couple D18's I'm putting the internals into my D20, and plan on using the twin sticks as well. Did you fab your sticks up or use a kit? I'd be interested in seeing some pics or a write up.

its great youll have to drill the places for the set screws ... pretty easy and ... if you want too install greese nipples on the shifters ... make it easyer to lube ... its an easy install .. only bad part was cutting the floor board .. ill get some pics up as soon as i can .. been kinda busy lately

Where did you guys get the twin stick shifters? My D20 linkage is so sloppy that I cannot get the front axle for 4Low to engage due to the shifter hitting the floor board.

I am having trouble locating replacement parts and a dual stick shifter would be the answer in my book.

Sorry to rain on your parade but you can't use the 18 twin stick housing and shift rails on a 20 unless you are converting a 20 housing to 18 off set outputs. Reason is the type and way the bearings are retained  . Lay the 18 and 20 front outputs side to side and you'll see what I mean. That's why you have to use Scout Twin stick housing and shift rails which are rare and can be hard to find or build custom. That's why no one sells just the 18 parts to convert a 20 to twin stick. I wish it were that simple :( . Nickmil. :stout:

Can someone explain to me the advantages of a twin stick. Does it make it easier to shift in and out of ranges or 2+4?
