225 flywheel

    I know this has been gone over before, but if it isn't balanced wouldn't it vibrate.

    Not sure I understand the question.

    It needs to be balanced to the crankshaft if it's not an OF engine as I recall.

    I know we've talked about it you might try searching or look through the tech section?

    IIRC the odd-fires will shake at idle regardless of balance. Just part of the design.

    Not an oddfire? I thought the oddfire was externally balanced.

    Actually, the crank, harmonic balancer, rods and flywheel are all balanced together if the engine is external or "Detroit" balance. With an internal or "zero" balance engine, only the crank and rods are balanced together.
