PCV broken?

    The part inside my PCV just fops around loose. I read it has a spring on it but mine is just loose is it broken? I also seem to not be able to locate one. what will happen if I put it back in? 67 CJ5 F134

    blow in it you should be able to blow all the way threw one way and shouldent be able to blow threw it the other way ... that should tell you ... most of them pvc valves rattle... if they dont rattle they are usualy broken or stuck

    I think that is the way a newer PCV valve works but not on an old CJ. There is an inner piece that is about the size of the last half inch of a pencil tip that comes out on idle and is in at high speed. Looking at the Binky site it also looks like it is spring loaded. Mine doesnt have a spring and flops freely. Am I correct? Is it broken and what problems is it causing as it is difficult to find a new one.
