Scammed this mirror back in '69 outta some 40's or so junker left on a feller's property not far from where I am now. Works great, even with a top on, but doesn't hang down in my way otherwise. Apparently, it's not '69 anymore; thing's gotten some moisture in there; gee whiz....

Anybody know if (and especially HOW) I can salvage this by getting the old glass out and replacing it? I don't see me having a new-fangled glue on mirror on a top-wiper frame, but I like having an inside mirror. Prolly not many post mount mirrors laying around like in the old days, huh?

The only advice I could give is take it to a glass shop. I'm sure they could do something with it. HTH

Pretty much what I'm thinking; I need to take the W/S to town anyway. I plan to replace the original glass and gasket, since my $$$$ wipers came with El-Cheapo arms and blades and scratched a nice set of arcs right where I'd like to be looking while staring at the sun. Thirty years of that is enough; my eyeballs are plenty fuzzy. Must be somebody clever enough to do this.

Just glue a new piece of mirror over the old one. A glass place will do it for you for little money.
