   Is there a breather vent on a tapered axel Dana 44. I'm going to replace my pinion seal and wanted to check this first. I can see the one on the 25 in front but the manual does'nt show one on the rear.

   Somewhere on the axle tube, probably left side along top is a small hole. It's maybe 1/16" in size, and usually gets plugged up with dirt.
